Our Mission Statement:
We are called to be followers of Christ,
nurturing spiritual growth,
spreading God's love,
and reaching out globally
in order to create a family of caring and peace.
Worship Service
Our Worship Service is held on Sunday mornings from 10:30AM until
approximately 11:30AM. It is a Traditional Service, which is held in our
beautiful Sanctuary with a historic pipe organ and piano. On average,
about 65 people are in attendance. The service combines prayers and
liturgy, which generally employ both traditional as well as contemporary
language. The sermon and service usually follow the Lectionary, but not
always. The sermon lifts up the truths of the Bible, in particular the New
Testament teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Apostles, and how they
relate to modern day living. Hymns and anthems are chosen to complement
the Scripture and theme. A Children's Sermon is given, and then the
children are dismissed to their Children's Church class. Some of our young
people have been asked to help lead in worship as Liturgists. Also,
several members have served as lay preachers on occasion. Communion is
celebrated the first Sunday of the month.
